Happy August, and welcome to the last full month of summer! If you’re like us here at OTBT, you’re celebrating summer’s end by living it up with pool parties and beachside barbeques in your favorite summer sandals and wedges. However, part of you is also looking forward to the arrival of fall and all its wonderful things – the chilly weather, cozy flannels, pumpkin spice lattes, and stylish casual boots.
But why wait for the weather to cool down when you can start wearing your favorite boots and booties now? One of the greatest things about many women’s boots on the market today is their ability to be worn all-year round – not just during the cold months of fall and winter. In fact, styling boots for the summer has become a bit of an art form – not to mention, a great fashion trend in recent years. While sandals and wedges still reign supreme for summer, there’s no denying that a stylish pair of boots can take any warm weather outfit to the next level!
Let’s start with one of our newest styles – the Trek! These leather low-rise ankle boots are inspired by the West – with gorgeous artisanal stitching and an outside zipper pull with burnished metal hardware. Comfortable and stylish booties like these are great for the fall, but they can also look absolutely chic when paired with the right outfit for summer. Here’s how we’ve styled them!
To achieve a fun, casual vibe for late summer fun in the sun, we paired the Trek booties with some high-rise, cut-off denim shorts and a white lace-up top. We just love how this shorts and boots combo shows off our legs and gives sort of a rugged-chic look. Lace-up tops and very on-trend at the moment, and crisp white colors are the perfect way to make a summer outfit light and breezy!
To finish the look, we threw on a long comfy cardigan – because, let’s be honest, no matter how hot it is outside, you’ll always get goosebumps the moment you enter the A.C. The length of the sweater balances well with the rest of the look, and it’s a great option to layer on when the weather gets a bit colder.
